Hanoi – Nam Dinh – Ninh Binh

After breakfast in Hanoi; drive 2.5 hours to Nam Dinh - the land of religious freedom, home of various traditional festivals and rituals and wild beautiful nature. Upon arrival, spend an hour to discover Vi Khe Bonsai Village – a famous beautiful bonsai village in Vietnam. Through the guide’s knowledge, get a glimpse of the techniques in bonsai and the stories that each shape represents such as a dragon, phoenix, horse etc... Then head to Xuan Thuy National Park and hop on a local boat to explore the Clam Farm. Learn about the process of clam cultivation.

(Note: This activity might be changed during monsoon season between Jul - Aug). Afterwards, enjoy lunch before choosing from the optional activities for this afternoon. 

Opt 1: Transfer to Bach Long Salt Village, experience the process of how to make the salt from the sea water and explore the daily life of the poor local people in there. Continue to pass Phu Nhai Church – A first church was built in 1866 after three century Christianity had been banned by Nguyen dynasty ( not recommended to visit between Oct – Feb due to no sun for drying sea water)

Opt 2: Cycle around the Village - Pham Phao is famous with wooden caving and traditional trumpet making brass village and cathedral. On the way see House Bridge that was built in the 16th century with a unique architecture. Explore the daily life of local people and understand about the ancestor worship village.

In the late afternoon, arrive at Ninh Binh and check-in to the hotel.
