Hop pillion to experience Saigon's vibrant streets whist exploring charming local haunts and experiencing the thrill of Vietnam's traffic. We drive through five city districts, embracing local activities whilst sampling a variety of delicious Vietnamese specialties from Banh Xeo to Bun Bo Hue, coconut ice cream and a local equivalent of beef bourguignon soaked up with Banh Mi.
Tonight’s tour starts at 17:30. Get picked up from the hotel by your driver for an exciting scooter ride through the rush of Vietnam’s busiest city. Ride pillion through unassuming streets and alleys to witness an insider’s view of the Saigonese and their famed cuisine.
Make the first stop for sizzling Banh Xeo -Vietnamese pancake and ‘mini pancakes’ Banh Khot. Then slurp a bowl of Beef noodle or Crab soup. Our next stop, a market known as the “non-sleeping market”. Here, get a feel for local life, walking through small alleys lined with flower shops, before a savory street snack.
Continue your ride to one of the oldest ‘apartment building’ areas in the city. The section of the city is overwhelming with busy street food stalls and local businesses. Cruise onto a famed coconut ice cream shop, a dessert maker since 1975. or if the stomach allows a banh mi beef melody.
The final stop will be District 4, a street Food Heaven. Taste some delicate, yet ‘rough’ seafood on this vibrant street, where hundreds of local food stalls and carts operate side by side for miles on end. Return to your hotel with a happy stomach mid evening.
